A tiny granite island of 5,000 square metres just offshore from Praslin’s Cote d’Or, St Pierre is a popular snorkelling site. Most boat cruises out of Praslin make a stop at St Pierre.
In addition to hundreds of colourful corals and reef fish, you can spot small reef sharks, eagle rays and various turtles can be seen while snorkelling off the beautiful islet.
Until 1972, guano was mined there but now it’s part of the Curieuse Marine National Park and fully protected.
