Savuti

The wide-open plains attract cheetah & the various rocky areas around Savuti provide excellent habitat for both leopard & agile klipspringer antelope.

Selinda Spillway

Breeding herds of elephant and solitary bulls are most commonly spotted as they take advantage of the water in the Selinda Spillway for bathing and drinking. A great area for leopards too.

Selingan Island

Selingan Island lies off the east coast of Sabah and is part of the Turtle Islands National Park where green and hawksbill turtles come to nest on a near-nightly basis. With luck, you can sometimes help release the young hatchlings back into the sea.

Selous Game Reserve

Four times the size of the Serengeti, the Selous Game Reserve is the largest conservation area in Tanzania. Sepilok Orang-Utan Centre

This world-renowned Sepilok Orang-Utan Centre works to rehabilitate orphaned or injured orang-utans back into the wild. Serra da Canastra National Park

With a cool climate due to its altitude (900-1500m above sea level), many waterfalls and rivers, and two important massifs, the park is scenic and pleasant to visit and contains a large number of species in its grasslands and woods. These include giant anteater, maned wolf, rhea, armadillo and deer.

Serra do Mar Natural Reserve

Situated almost halfway between Rio and Sao Paulo, Serra do Mar is one of the last major Mata Atlantica tracts remaining, covering a large area of rainforested hills and palm-fringed beaches. The pretty colonial seaside town of Paraty is nearby and easily visited.

Sesriem

A small settlement best known for the access point to the Namib-Naukluft National Park and Sossusvlei at Sesriem Gate and for the nearby Sesriem Canyon.
