Ka’ana Resort
The small boutique hotel is located near San Ignacio in the far west of Belize, close to Xunantunich Maya ruins. Ka’ana offers some of the most luxurious accommodation in Belize with its one- and two-bedroom private pool villas.
It’s a good choice for those who don’t necessarily wish to be right in the forest but who want a well-appointed base from which to explore the many nearby attractions found in this part of Belize. Apart from the pool villas there are charming detached Master and Casita Suites, and rooms in the main building called Balam Suites.
Not far from the resort are the Maya ruins of Xunantunich, the ATM cave and the Maya Mountains containing the scenic Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve, Rio On Pools, Rio Frio Caves and Thousand Foot Falls.
The lodge is also close to the Guatemalan border and Tikal, the famous ruins site.

Optional Activities
Enjoy a short excursion to the nearby Mayan ruins of Xunantunich, or opt for a one-night camping trip on the banks of the Mopan River near the same ruins, complete with walk-in tents, proper mattresses, table dining, butler service and horse riding. Ka’ana also offers a similar adventurous one-night, two-day camping trip into Guatemala, visiting the Yaxha ruins which lie just 45 minutes’ drive from the border town of Benque. Additionally there are zip-lining, river tubing and cave exploration tours, and you can also go up in a helicopter for aerial views of beautiful Belize.

Choose one of the pool villas to make your stay extra special. Families should request the two-bedroomed villa. It’s a good idea to hire a four wheel drive car for independent exploration, as driving in Belize is very easy.
