Floreana Lava Lodge
Floreana Lava Lodge is located on Floreana Island, the smallest of the inhabited islands in the Galapagos archipelago with just 150 residents, mostly living in the main town of Puerto Velasco Ibarra.
There are 10 simple pinewood cabins located just 5 minutes’ walk from the town and facing the bay. Each cabin has a single bed and two bunk beds, so can accommodate up to 3 people. Each has private hot water bathrooms, front porches with chairs facing the sea, air- conditioning, clock radio, reading lamp, hair dryer, safety deposit box and basic furniture.
There is a communal area in which to enjoy a welcome drink and discussions with other guests. Laundry and snack services are also provided.
Cabins are equipped with private hot water showers, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and safety deposit box. There is a common guest area and laundry service is available.
Kayakking, snorkelling, stand up paddle boarding.
A colony of Galapagos sea lions lives just 5 minutes’ walk from the cabins – well worth a stroll to see.

I cannot fault the boat, the crew, or the food. I would not go on the big 100 passenger boats as we were first onto the beaches and in easy reach being smaller and closer inshore…The Galapagos is a one-off place where heaven meets the Earth…Your efficiency here and your guides in Quito are of such a high standard that I will not go anywhere without your organisation. Sorry, but you are stuck with us!
