Finca Rosa Blanca

Scroll

Built along strict environmental principals and winner of the 2003 British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow award, the hotel is a Gaudiesque architectural masterpiece, with highly individual rooms ranging from the master suite to private villas with their own themes, and wonderful views over coffee plantations to San Jose in the distance. The hotel has also been awarded the highest rating in Costa Rica for sustainable tourism (5 green leaves).

Situated within 30 acres of high quality hard bean Arabica coffee plantation, Finca Rosa Blanca provides an aesthetically delightful landscape. The plantation is shaded by a forest which  is the home to over 130 species of birds. The coffee tour will walk you through many of the more than 5,000 native trees we have planted with the help of the environmental protection agency (MINAET) and local school children. These indigenous trees produce shade and nitrogen for the organic coffee and have created biological corridors for the birds and animals of the area.

Accommodation is in the form of Junior suites (smaller, sleeping form one to three) and Master suites (sleeping from three to five). Each suite is individually designed and decorated in keeping with a certain theme, making each room unique and fascinating. Meals and drinks are available at the onsite restaurant and bar – El Tigre Vestido & Bar Buho- serving Latin fusion cuisine. The head chef explores the farm and greenhouses each day, selecting the freshest ingredients to be used within the menu.
