Capitan Suizo Resort
Located near to the lively town of Tamarindo but in a peaceful location at the far end of the vast beach, the Swiss-run Capitan Suizo resort has spacious well-appointed rooms and suites set amidst tropical gardens right on the beach, perfect for relaxation and swimming.
There is a swimming pool (often visited by howler monkeys and iguanas), bar and excellent restaurant serving French and Italian cooking.
There are 35 rooms spread between a mix of standard and superior rooms and private bungalows. All have large double beds and private bathrooms, ceiling fans, tea- and coffee-making facilities, direct dial telephones, and free Wi-Fi.
The private bungalows have separate sleeping and living areas, large private terrace, spacious bathroom with outside shower, and a double whirlpool bath.

Local Wildlife
Mantled howler monkeys, green iguanas, toucans, parrots and hummingbirds are frequent visitors to the gardens. A greater diversity of birdlife, reptiles and amphibians can be spotted on excursions further afield.

Recreational activities include on-site bicycle rental, table tennis and beach volleyball while nearby there are good hiking trails and tennis, golf, horse riding and scuba diving can be arranged.

If your stay falls between October and March book a nocturnal turtle-watching tour to the nearby beach of Playa Grande for good chances of seeing leatherback turtles nesting.
