Awash Valley and the Afar Region
Awash Falls Lodge
The Awash Falls Lodge is an eco-friendly rustic style Lodge, located in the heart of Awash National Park, 205 km East of Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa.
The rooms (they call them Tukuls) are built from traditional materials and in a traditional Ethiopian design. A few of them are situated at the edge of the cliff with a great view of Awash Gorge with verandas to sit out on and enjoy the sounds of the water.

Area Specialist
From the restaurant you can do some excellent crocodile spotting. However, if you decide to take the short walk to the waterfall lookout or down to the river, it goes without saying to keep your distance.
