Central Atolls
Angsana Ihuru
Located just a 20-minute speedboat ride from Velena International Airport, Angsana Ihuru is the perfect resort to begin or end your Maldivian journey. Each villa boasts bright and stylish décor, with exclusive access to the beach and individual sun loungers.
Angsana Ihuru is blessed with one of the best house reefs in the North Male atoll, with the drop-off reachable just a short swim from the beach all around the island. Snorkelling, scuba diving and other watersports are all available, as well as catamaran trips. Located 10 meters off the house reef at a depth of 25 meters, the Rannamaari Wreck is Angsana Ihuru’s signature dive spot. The wreck has been home to thousands of marine creatures since it mysteriously sank on the 25th of April 1999.
The Riveli Restaurant (meaning Beam of light) offers breakfast lunch and dinner on a seafront decking or under the shelter of the thatched building. Enjoy a drink at the Velaavani bar, overlooking the lagoon where you might spot a turtle or pod of dolphins! Most guests stay on an all-inclusive basis, with options available to include spa treatments or excursions in the package.
Angsana’s sister property, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, is only a 5-minute speedboat ride away. Guests are able to use the facilities at both resorts during their stay, to enjoy a different meal or snorkel at a new house reef.
Facilities
The resort offers a bar, restaurant, spa, gallery shop, water sports centre, PADI dive centre, kids club, gym, and meeting rooms. Each room has a king-sized bed, full AC, TV, seating area, open-air bathroom and private beachfront area with loungers. 25 of the villas also have a jacuzzi pool in the bathroom.
Local Wildlife

Area Specialist
There is a very friendly resident hawksbill turtle in the house reef. Try to find this wonderful creature and spend some time observing its natural behaviour!
