41 Lighthouse Street
41 Lighthouse Street is a small, British-owned colonial town house located on one of the main streets in old Galle Fort. More a private guesthouse than a boutique hotel, it has only three, characterful, rooms; one on the ground floor and two on the first. There is a small courtyard with swimming pool, and a dining room and living room (with pool table) in the main part of the building.
41 Lighthouse Street is ideally situated for easy access to the delights of colonial Galle Fort and would suit families and small groups of friends who want exclusive use. The individually decorated rooms are nicely appointed and spacious with en suite bathrooms. The entire staff consists of manager, cook and cleaner. You can either go out to eat or the cook will discuss your menu and then shop for the ingredients before cooking dinner in the small kitchen and serving it to you in the dining room – you only pay for the ingredients; his services are included in the price. At night the staff leave until the next morning, so you have the place entirely to yourselves (however, you can call the manager in case of emergency).
Facilities
Swimming pool, courtyard, dining room, lounge.
Optional Activities
Visit Dutch colonial Galle Fort with its ramparts, museums, small colonial streets and well preserved period buildings, some going back to the 17th century, others dating from the 1930s.

“It was a very good tour in every respect…Anyone fortunate enough to get [our guide] as their guide will have met an excellent ambassador for Sri Lanka. It was a perfect mix of culture and wildlife and overall a very good mix of hotels.
