Kathoni

Scroll

Amidst lush greenery and tranquil lakes, Kathoni consists of two Lakeview Rooms, offering the perfect escape after a thrilling day exploring Kaziranga National Park. Boasting tall, luminous walls and stunning handcrafted bamboo roofing, each room’s high ceilings create a light and airy atmosphere. With a generous size of 460 sq. ft., these rooms come equipped with a luxurious king-size bed, a functional work desk, and a spacious living area that opens up to a private balcony, providing serene views of the landscape.

Dining features traditional Assamese dishes cooked on a woodfire, alongside an array of Indian and Continental cuisine. The buffet meals are prepared using the freshest, locally sourced, seasonal, and free-range ingredients from the Organic Farm and neighboring villages. The location provides plenty of seclusion while still being a short drive from both the Central (Kohora) and Eastern (Agoratoli) ranges of Kaziranga National Park.

Despite flight delays we were warmly welcomed and had efficient transitions in India. In the UK, you couldn’t have been more helpful – “above and beyond” at all points of contact. Thankyou!

[Our experience of the Snow leopard group tour] Is hard to put into words! No genuine expectation of seeing snow leopards – just hopeful, but to see two shortly after arriving at Uley was outstanding. They were so beautiful. Also saw wolves, Tibetan fox, eagles, ibex and lots of urials.
