Sujan Jawai

Scroll

With a beautiful and tranquil rural setting, Sujan Jawai offers luxury accommodation in oversized tents, complete with en suite showers and private decks.   The tents are designed with artistic flare, merging a largely monochrome pallet with 1930’s-style metal furniture and accents of red, paying homage to the local Rabari herdsmen turbans.  The camp has excellent wildlife guides and its own open-topped jeeps to explore the local countryside in search of leopards and other wildlife.

Facilities

Swimming pool, restaurant, library and outdoor seating area with fire pit. Eight luxury tents with private sit out and en suite bathroom. One Royal Tented Suite with private heated swimming pool. One two-bedroom Family Suite with private dining area.

Local Wildlife

Leopards are the main wildlife attraction here, they reside in the granite hills by day and venture down to raid livestock by night.

Optional Activities

Game drives in open jeep, village visits, nature walks, alfresco dining.

Naturalist guides were brilliant. We seem to have been given the best one in each place. Had same one for whole of stay in each place. Cultural guides gave just enough information and then left you to ask questions about what interested you which is what we like. They did not seem to have a set patter. Helpful about photographic sites – i.e. good position to take photos.

[OVERALL STANDARD OF SERVICE] Excellent isn’t good enough. In every place we were treated like royalty. Totally relaxed and felt totally safe but not smothered.

[WILDLIFE HIGHLIGHTS] 11 tigers, innumerable rhino, wild elephants, buffalo, otters, hog and swamp deer, and wild boar. Birds at Keoladeo excellent. Watched leopard and three cubs at Siana for 1.5 hrs of exceptional viewing.

An outstanding holiday which far exceeded our expectations. Many people would enjoy it I’m sure.
