They say that travel broadens the mind: we believe that’s certainly true, and equally so for children and parents alike. A good family holiday should be educational and also contain exciting elements which appeal to all age groups – and this Guatemala family itinerary fits all the criteria. Your family will have a marvellous adventure as you learn about Spain’s colonial heritage and how to make peanut butter; ride a bike through local villages; explore mysterious Mayan cities; take part in a traditional ceremony; kayak on a volcanic lake; hike ancient pathways; traverse high zip lines; boat down a jungle river; have lunch in a Garifuna Caribbean town; brave canopy walkways; watch the sun set from the top of a temple; and spot brightly coloured birds and agile monkeys in the rainforest. Suitable for families with children aged 8 or more, the itinerary provides an active and stimulating holiday in a small, colourful country with friendly people, varied landscapes and scenery, and pleasant accommodation. We are sure you and the children will love it.
