The M/Y Tucano is one of the most comfortable expeditionary vessels in the Brazilian Amazon. The voyage begins in Manaus and over 7 days navigates far up the Rio Negro. There are daily hikes in the rainforest accompanied by naturalist guides, scouting trips by motorised canoe up streams and tributaries, and during the dry season swimming from deserted beaches. On the last day of the voyage there is a visit to the ‘Meeting of the Waters’ where the light coloured water of the Amazon and dark water of the Rio Negro meet and flow side by side for miles without mixing.
The cruise departs on alternating Saturdays throughout the year. Five day cruises are also available.
